A bit about us

So, you ask… who are the folks behind Solid Cactus Affiliate Marketing?  We’ll give you a little peek into who we are, and the daily insanity that we call work.  Don’t get me wrong… Affiliate Marketing is, in a word, awesome.  But, it definitely fills your day with craziness and interesting people.

Michelle Pushefski, Affiliate Marketing Manager

I’ve been at Cactus for 3 years now, and I still can get over how much we’ve grown.  I was employee #26 … now we have over 150.  I came here with a background in site management, database marketing (email marketing) and event management… from the radio industry.  (I actually was an on-air personality for a while named “Ann Phibian”… ya, that’s always good for a laugh.)

Either way, my path to Affiliate Marketing truly began at Solid Cactus.  Just like for many others, Affiliate Marketing had a mystique that was enticing, yet unnerving as well.  I jumped-in feet first and haven’t looked back.  After years of dealing with amazing people, both clients and publishers, I can honestly say that it’s been quite a ride.

I spend a good part of the day reviewing program activity and publisher performance, and developing strategies for optimizing that program.  Additionally, I design and create many of the graphics/banners that we use across our affiliate programs.  And, I even dabble in a little bit of code.  (as little as possible, if you know what I mean)

That’s me in a nutshell.

Ryan Yurewicz, Recruiting Specialist

To start, I am a huge sports fan.  My two favorite sports are football and college basketball, with my favorite teams being the Super Bowl Champion Giants and the North Carolina Tarheels.

But enough about my free time, you’re interested in what I can do for your Affiliate Program…  I specialize in affiliate recruitment.  A good recruitment strategy is essential to the success of any Affiliate Program.  Without a thorough grasp on your target market, the invaluable super affiliates, and niche affiliates who are out there, and most importantly, how to reach them… your program runs on pure luck.  I work mostly with building stronger relationships with the trusted partners we have, and developing new foundations with new recruits.  As we expand this blog, I’ll provide tips and best practices from the wide world of recruitment stay tuned.
