Getting Better Affiliated With Your Halloween Candy!

As a kid, the best part of Halloween was the end of the night, sorting through all of your candy.  Now, looking back and comparing it to today…. it’s a lot like reviewing affiliate applications.

Halloween night, the first thing I used to do was dig for any KING SIZED candy bars ( or, in our world, Super Affiliates)… JACKPOT!   It’s always awesome when you get more than one or two.

After you’ve scarfed the King Size bars, it was time to dig for any regular size candy bars (Moderate Performers/The Rising Stars).  These are a lot more common but are just as exciting to see.

Now, this is the part where I started to get bored and lose interest as a child.  (You know what I’m talking about.)  It’s the part where you sorted through the best candy and now all you have left is the “fun size” candy…. or even worse, the GENERIC stuff!

But now this is where sorting through your candy and potential affiliates should be different.  Once you get down to the little guys, you can’t just give up and lose interest. This is the time you should be “in the zone.”  The first half of the process was easy… now you need to really find out who these guys are.  It’s time to find “the Diamond in the rough”.

And, more importantly…. remember thinking, “it’s late, I’m tired, there’s probably no more porch lights around the corner”, and just heading home.  That next turn of the corner just might be the house giving out the mother loade of King Size Bars.  That one corner you don’t turn could just be the next Super Affiliate… and you just passed up the opportunity of a lifetime.

Don’t lose faith, don’t lose interest, and most importantly… don’t settle!
