Recently California introduced Assembly Bill 178, also known as the “Amazon Tax.” (Sales tax on orders received through many affiliate web sites.) California is not the only state looking to do this. Minnesota, Connecticut, Tennessee, and Hawaii are also looking to pass the “Amazon Tax.” This is not good news for the affiliate world. This is now a pattern and more and more states will be trying to pass this bill in the near future if something is not done.
