I was reading a very interesting article this morning about the affiliate tax laws and decided to sum it up nicely for you all.
Connecticut: As of now nothing has changed with Connecticut. Updates on the bill will be made after June 3rd.
Tennessee: Nothing new has been publicized since May 13th but at the end of May they adjourn so updates should be along shortly.
Hawaii: The bill has been passed to the Governor on May 8th. The Governor has 45 days to sign or veto the bill. If it goes passed those 45 days the bill is automatically becomes a law. That makes June 23rd the big day.
Rhode Island: This bill is still scheduled for the House Finance Committee. There are agendas that were posted on May 20th & 21st. The session ends in late June.
North Carolina: They are committed to not raising taxes of any kind. The senate has kept things quiet on this but they adjourn in early July.
Wisconsin: This bill is a generic affiliate bill and not directed to just the Internet. No worries for now.
